In the first two diamond sales, Newfield sold a total of 12,457 carats and generated sales of US$2.7m. This achieved an average price of US$216/carat, higher than the world average of US$117/carat.
This further cements the quality of Tongo’s product and deposit as one of the highest value Resources globally.

- Sierra Leone is an important source of diamonds, iron ore, titanium, bauxite, gold, and has one of the world’s largest deposits of rutile
- The Tongo Mine is located in the same region of Sierra Leone, as the 970ct Star of Sierra Leone discovered in 1972
